Countless studies have documented the negative impacts and consequences that viewing porn can have for people of all ages and both genders. However, it disproportionately damages children and young people. It creates an unrealistic view of sex and therefore, can lead to unsafe and dangerous sexual practices, desensitises children and can also destroy relationships among young people.

Given the many age restrictions and verifications on other inappropriate activities such as gambling websites, to me it is unbelievable that adult sites are worryingly easy to access and stumble upon for under 18s. 

Therefore, what I want is the UK government to impose tougher laws on access to porn and to penalise any company who fail to follow the essential safety procedures. The preservation of innocence of children and their protection is deeply important to me. I hope you sign this petition and we can make a difference
