Texas doesn’t have a statewide mandate requiring all public schools to provide free period products, meaning individual school districts have the local autonomy to decide whether to provide them. 

In 2022, Austin ISD, just south of Pflugerville, started to provide period products in the girls restrooms. 

Menstrual products are an essential hygiene items, like toilet paper, and are right, not a privilege. 

We’re asking Pflugerville ISD to provide free period products in the girls bathrooms (grades 3-12) to promote girls’ dignity and hygiene so girls can focus on their education.
