Alasan pentingnya petisi ini

Hello Everyone, as a student we need to take action in preserving our beautiful animals that live in Indonesia. So we will explain our plan and also our information about Endangered species.

Ecosystem is a place where living and nonliving things interact and live together in one

particular place. Animals are one of the biggest populations on earth but now on this day it loses half of the population. Some incredibly interesting species can be (or have been) found across the whole world. Ecosystem must be in a balanced condition, if it is imbalanced, it will disrupt the interaction and the interdependence between living things and non-living things.

One of the causes of an imbalanced ecosystem is habitat destruction due to deforestation, illegal hunting, palm oil plantation, illegal logging for industrial activity. Those give effect to animals losing their habitat. Hence, more animals become endangered.  One thousand species of reptiles and amphibians live in Indonesia, a full 10 percent of the world’s herpetofauna. Twenty-eight species of reptiles are considered threatened by the 2000 IUCN Red List Species. Fully half of all the world’s fish species can be found in Indonesia’s marine and freshwater. According to data from BPS (https://www.bps.go.id/indicator/152/1297/1/jumlah-satwa-terancam-punah.html), there is the increment of endangered animals from 2015-2017, for example OrangUtan species from 143 to 1890 species that have status endangered.

Our solution is to apply the government's law (e.g. Peraturan Pemerintah No. 13 tahun 1994 & Pasal 21 Undang‑undang Nomor 5 tahun 1990 Konservasi Sumber Daya Alam Hayati dan Ekosistemnya) related to deforestation, illegal hunting, illegal logging, palm oil plantation and industrial activity to prevent threatened animals and keep them safe. Just like The Sumatran Tigers, Orangutans, the Javan Rhinoceros & Sumatran Elephants are almost extinct. So that's why we made this for giving the solution to advertise to other people. We need support from the Indonesian government to prevent and keep the animals safe and where they belong.Visit a national park, wildlife refuge, or protected area. These areas provide habitat for hundreds of threatened species! Reduce, reuse, recycle! Recycling and reducing your waste helps our planet and all those who live on it.

That’s all our presentation about Endangered Species. All for a better living place for animals. Thank you for listening and please sign this petition. Let’s save endangered animals!
