I've been through hell and back with my kids being unjustly taken away by social services, and it wasn't just us. This isn't just a personal issue; it's a systemic problem in our county where children are removed from their families without proper investigation. I've lived it, where lies and deceit tore my family apart, and I know many of you have faced similar heartaches.

Back then, the child removal cases in our county were up a staggering 100%. Why? Because they took children first and asked questions later. This was, and probably still is, a money-driven disaster of a system that ignored reunification programs meant to bring families back together. We're not talking isolated incidents but a pattern—an entire town known for taking kids away before looking into the actual circumstances. Some cases are being investigated now, but it's not enough.

My family was torn apart by grandparents who lied, and their lies led to damage that took years to repair. And while I was eventually reunited with one of my kids, many parents are still waiting for that day.  One of my kids won’t even talk to me, the damage is done. After removing them from me and years of suffering I get a call that the state took my child from their custody and I could come start the process of bringing them home. My child was almost 18 at this point. They were supposed to protect and love my children yet they were abusing them in several ways. Why should any family be ripped apart without due process? Why should children be scarred by a system that doesn't prioritize their best interests?

We need a change, and it's overdue. We must demand that investigations happen first, that all cases are treated with fairness and thoroughness, and that the agenda is not driven by financial incentives. Our children deserve better; they deserve not to be caught in the crossfire of systemic neglect and injustice.
