End the Unaddressed Pain & Suffering of Black Women While Receiving Inpatient Care
The Issue
It's election year! My mother was a dedicated democrat and she voted sincerely but there was no law in place to stop the unnecessary pain and suffering that black women are subjected to while they are in a healthcare facility and under doctors care. Per NIH, it has been proven and vetted that black and brown women suffer beyond measure and when a black women is subject to an enormous amount of uncontrolled pain, it will alter there mental status. My mother, Brenda Jean Harrison-Jones went into Strong Memorial Hospital on November 7th 2023 with a strong and articulate mental status, after months of unresolved, ignored, and unaddressed neurological pain, which changed her mental to severe delirium and dementia, all because she receiving a delay of care. By the time I removed her from Strong Memorial Hospital to Rochester General she was chronically and severely de-conditioned with no hope in site-she died March 22, 2024. She was our light and our world. Please sign this petition as it could be your loved one next.
