Dear Prime Minister Luxon and Foreign Minister Peters,
 We write to you today with a fury that grows stronger by the day, as the New Zealand Government continues its shameful silence in the face of lsrael's blatant war crimes.

For more than 70 days, the lsraeli government has completely blocked humanitarian aid into Gaza - no food, no medicine, no shelter materials, no fuel. And now people are beginning to die from hunger and untreated wounds.  Innocent people. Children. Families. The elderly. Deliberately starved in full view of the world. This is not a case of “conflict" or "security concerns." This is the use of starvation as a weapon of war - a crime under international law, recognised by the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court. The International Court of Justice has already ruled that lsrael must prevent genocide Instead, it escalates it.

Tens of thousands of reservists have been recalled for duty. The plan (according to the IDF as at 4pm, 5 May 2025) is:

·The IDF will occupy areas inside Gaza, clearing both above and below ground.
·The Gazan citizens will be moved from the north the south of Gaza.
.There will be three points where aid will be handed out.
·Gazans will be encouraged to leave their homeland and go to another country.
This is flagrant ethnic cleansing.

And what has New Zealand done? Nothing.
You have expressed “concern." You have
"monitored the situation." You have "called for restraint." But you have failed to act. Where are the sanctions? Where is the expulsion of the lsraeli ambassador? Where is the support for the ICC's arrest warrants? Where are the fast-tracked visas for Palestinians fleeing death?
You know full well what is happening. The ICJ has confirmed it. The United Nations has confirmed it. The entire world is watching LIVE STREAMED - and so far you have chosen to look the other way.

How many more days will you stand idle? How many more children have to die of hunger?

New Zealand once stood proudly on the international stage for moral clarity - from our stance against apartheid in South Africa to our nuclear-free declaration. Where is that courage now?

We demand that you take immediate action to:

• Impose targeted sanctions on lsraeli officials and institutions complicit in war crimes;
• Suspend diplomatic ties with lsrael, including the recall of our Ambassador;
• Publicly support the ICC's investigation and any resulting arrest warrants;
• Immediately cancel any tourist visas issued to IDF soldiers and refuse all applications;
• Establish a humanitarian visa programme for Palestinians at immediate risk.

History will remember what you chose to do - or not do - in this moment. Silence is complicity.
