Today I received a letter from Health Minister Adrian Dix's staff. This letter confirms what I have said all along.  BC is the wild west of private, for profit, in-home care.  You are totally at the mercy of the profiteers who are free to provide minimal care for maximum profits. 

When I originally complained Ministry staff referred me to the Patient Care Quality Office of my regional health authority.  That Office told me that it has no jurisdiction over private health care providers and referred me back to the Minister of Health.   Today's letter from the Minister of Health staff stated " The Ministry cannot involve itself in independent service-related business concerns."
