The new phone policies are capable of gettingbrid of a students mobile device for an enture year. Sure a mobile device can cause issues however if someone is making bad choices they will recieve the consequences later. Now that it has been established that there is annissue now to tell you how the new phone policy will solve nothing, the new policy takes phones away however that can leave parents ill informed in an emergency situation or it could put someone's life in danger as a student is no longer capable of calling 911 during an emergency. Mobile devices can be regulated as in you need to encourage students not to use them without fear but a real reason to stay off their phone and complete their work. This new phone policy is oppressive and dangerous so we should all sign this to end this policy!

Last year when we had nothing to do, we were able to use our phones, but now it is just a decision by the teachers and sure screen time is a big thing but would you rather do nothing or use your phone? I always finish my work quick so using my phone to finish class often made the day go by faster and just generally improved the school day, I miss how it was and want it to go back. I believe that if the district wants a policy then the U4SD should talk to its students before enacting something.
