End the ABC Liquor Monopoly in North Carolina

End the ABC Liquor Monopoly in North Carolina
The Issue
For decades, North Carolinians have lived under a system that stifles competition and transparency in the liquor industry: the government-run Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC). In this system, the prices and availability of liquor are largely controlled by the state, leading to artificially high costs and a lack of competitiveness. This is not a norm that consumers are forced to accept. In fact, North Carolina is one of only seventeen states in the U.S. that still operates an ABC system (according to National Alcohol Beverage Control Association), making it clear that it is an antiquated model. It's time to abolish the ABC in North Carolina and reinstate a free market system that promotes competition, transparency, and fairness for consumers. We call upon the state legislature to pass reforms that end government control over the liquor industry. Please sign this petition to bring change and fairness back into our liquor industry.
