I think the 3/10 year bar on immigrants is ridiculous. I would like to petition that good moral immigrants that only came to this country illegally to work and show proof that they were paying taxes should be allowed to apply for work visas without the 3/10 year bar!

Wellington Rodrigues was taken by I.C.E. on Friday Sept 27, 2009 because of an outstanding warrant. He had this warrant because he entered the country illegally and did not show up for his court date because he spent his life savings as well as borrowed money to get over here. While here he worked hard, paid his taxes, did volunteer work in the community and never got in any kind of trouble, not even a speeding ticket. His American employer is more than willing to sponsor him for a Visa and needs him back to work as well as the American citizens that care for him and miss him. He is currently in jail in SC and will be moved to GA soon where he will be deported and not allowed to return for 10 years.

This must be changed!
