Sewage pollution is being dumped into our waters, causing environmental damage and putting the diverse marine life at risk.
As residents of this beautiful region, we are witnessing firsthand the devastating effects of this ecological neglect. South West Water, the company responsible for managing our water supplies, continues to allow untreated sewage and wastewater to be released into our seas. While their executives enjoy increasing salaries and bonuses, our environment continues to suffer. This lack of accountability is unacceptable.
The situation is becoming increasingly dire, with pollution incidents continuing even during recent heatwaves, leading to the spill of raw sewage into the sea. This negligence threatens not only the health of our waters but also our way of life, tourism, and local businesses that rely on a clean and safe environment.
