The Issue

In a democratic nation like India, every citizen deserves equal rights and opportunities, irrespective of their faith or beliefs. However, it is with deep concern that we witness increasing instances of religious discrimination, particularly against the Muslim community.

India's founding principles emphasize secularism and equality, ensuring that no individual is deprived of justice, security, and dignity based on their religion. Yet, Muslims in India face systemic bias, where their basic rights are often overlooked, ignored, or outright denied.

One of the most alarming issues is the rise of mob lynchings, where innocent Muslims are often targeted under false pretenses, fueled by communal hatred. Such heinous acts not only take innocent lives but also deeply scar the social and moral fabric of our nation. According to various reports by organizations such as Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch, many cases go unreported or inadequately addressed, with justice often delayed or denied.

The discrimination is also evident in various societal domains, including education, employment, and law enforcement. Many Muslims struggle to find fair opportunities and face prejudice in these critical areas.

To build a truly just and inclusive society, we implore the Indian government to take immediate and concrete actions:

1. Strengthen laws against hate crimes and religious discrimination, ensuring fast-track justice for victims.
2. Promote education programs that foster interfaith dialogue and understanding.
3. Implement strict measures against public and private institutions that engage in discriminatory practices.
4. Encourage the media to play a responsible role in preventing the spread of communal hatred.

Change begins with each one of us taking a stand for what is right. By signing this petition, you are voicing your support for equality, justice, and a harmonious India. Let us come together to ensure that no individual, especially from the Muslim community, feels deprived or threatened in their own homeland.

Sign this petition and stand against religious discrimination in India. Together, we can build a better future for all.
