The Issue
Puppy farming is a significant animal welfare concern in Australia. Dogs kept in intensive breeding facilities may experience inadequate living conditions, limited socialisation, and insufficient veterinary care. Breeding animals can also be subjected to repeated breeding with limited opportunity for recovery.

This petition calls for stronger regulation and greater protections for dogs involved in commercial breeding, with the aim of preventing animal cruelty and ensuring that all dogs are treated with appropriate care, dignity and respect.
