So many units at Macquarie Uni that have assignments such as presentations, infographics, etc, now require the use of Adobe Express to complete the assignment. Adobe Express is laggy, difficult to use, and prone to crashing. Many students have had the experience of Adobe Express crashing and erasing their work - even though it claims to have auto-saved!

Students should not be forced to use a specific program when other more user-friendly programs can be used to create the same content (PowerPoint, Canva, etc).

This petition requests that the university prevents units from requiring the use of specific programs for assignments (unless there are no other programs that can produce the same type of content) - ESPECIALLY Adobe Express.
