End forced adoption in the UK

The Issue

My family have been directly affected by forced adoption, and I speak from the heart when I say that this practice is not only outdated but deeply harmful. Forced adoption in the UK can tear children away from their families, often targeting those belonging to ethnic minorities while still directly affects children of the United Kingdom the United Kingdom is one of the last countries in the world to still practice child stealing by forcing children up for sale at the expense of parents that love them.
These practices mirror historical assimilation programs which led to cultural genocide and ethnic cleansing. The pain and trauma caused by forced separations are profound and long-lasting, affecting emotional and psychological well-being across generations.

Forced adoption policies disproportionately affect ethnic minority families. According to data, Black and mixed-ethnicity children are overrepresented in care yet are less likely to be adopted domestically. Instead, they face the risk of being placed in environments where their cultural identities are not understood or respected, furthering the cycle of cultural loss and assimilation however it is a United Kingdom issue for everyone not just that of the black and ethnic minorities community every years thousands of children are ripped from there families homes we have a new government let’s ask them to stop profiting from forced child law proceedings that generates income at the expense of loss of parents and legal aid

This practice of enforced adoption is seen by many as a modern form of cultural eradication, where children's original cultural, familial, and linguistic backgrounds are often not a priority during the adoption process. This not only harms the children but disrespects the rich diversity and multiculturalism that the UK stands for.

Ending forced adoption requires a shift in policy towards family preservation and support systems that respect and uphold the cultural, ethnic, and religious identities of children. It demands a commitment to preventative measures that can help families in distress—be it through social support, financial aid, or counseling — rather than tearing them apart.

I urge lawmakers and citizens alike to consider the impact that forced adoption has had on countless families, including my own, and to advocate for policies that focus on the welfare of children by supporting and preserving their birth families wherever possible. Please sign this petition to call for a change in UK adoption policies that recognizes the importance of family unity and cultural integrity for all children.
