The Issue

Welcome to our North Liberty, Iowa ALPR/Flock camera removal/stop usage and request for discussion Community Petition Form. This petition is a powerful tool for residents to come together and address issues, advocate for change, and strengthen our community. We, as a collective, request our voices be heard. We would like a robust meeting in front of the NL City Council and Mayor to ask questions in an open forum, have answers in a timely manner and press the issues that have been uncovered in the national news and Senate about the safety of our information. We understand 9/24/26 will be the beginning of the information and we ask to add more space to city calendars in order to accommodate this very important conversation. We are asking the city and NLPD to immediately cover and stop all collection and storage of information in the Flock system. We feel like this is a direct attack on our 4th Amendment Rights and all collection and storage of our information is subject to warrantless searches. We can discuss whether this is worth the risk and can give CONSENT to it once all information is shared about the system and Flock as a company. Let's unite in solidarity and work towards the common goal of Flock removal that enhances the quality of life and privacy for all residents. Your participation in this community petition is a testament to your commitment to building a stronger, more resilient, and inclusive  community. Join us in making a difference and shaping the future of our community together.
