The propagation of discriminatory, racist, and Islamophobic content by media outlets such as the Daily Mail is not just unethical; it incites hate and further fuels far-right movements. Misinformation and unfounded statements targeting races and religions add volatility to already sensitive socio-political climates. Studies have shown that repeated exposure to such content fosters a divisive environment and gives rise to hate crimes as we have seen in the UK this weekend (Source: King's College London).

In England and Wales it can be an offence to stir up hatred on the grounds of: Race, Religion and Sexual Orientation. 

Yet media outlets like the Daily Mail are allowed to do this on a NATIONAL LEVEL and make revenue out of it.  

By allowing this, we are endorsing an environment wherein hate is normalised, and divisive ideologies are encouraged. We must hold our news outlets accountable for the information they disseminate.

It's time for the Daily Mail to end its distribution of damaging misinformation. Let's stand for a world built on facts, unity, and mutual respect.
