It’s time to stand up and demand effective measures to combat bullying so that our schools can be a safe and nurturing environment for all students.

This statistic represents more than just a number; it encompasses countless personal tragedies, stories of lost potential, and young lives derailed. Every day, students face verbal harassment, physical violence, and cyberbullying, leading to anxiety, depression, and even suicidal thoughts. The impact of bullying is not only short-term but can affect a victim's mental health well into adulthood.
Schools should be sanctuaries of learning where every child feels safe, respected, and valued. That's why we need comprehensive anti-bullying policies that include behavioral interventions, mental health support, and educational programs that teach empathy and conflict resolution. Teachers and staff must be trained to recognize signs of bullying and take immediate steps to intervene. Moreover, schools should involve parents and caregivers to foster a community of understanding and support.
