END AMALGAMATION IN NIGERIA BY THE BRITISH GOVERNMENT

END AMALGAMATION IN NIGERIA BY THE BRITISH GOVERNMENT
The Issue
According to the Oxford dictionary, “a nation is a large body of people united by common descent, history, culture or language, inhabiting a particular state or territory.” As such, Nigeria is a country of many nations as we have different ethnic groups of varying cultures and languages. However, we are familiar with three major ethnic groups, which are Yoruba, Igbo, and Hausa but everyone knows that Nigeria’s ethnic groups are more than the so-called three. This is a petition to summon the British government and the parliament to end the amalgamation of Nigeria between the southern and northern protectorate by Fredrick Lugard in January of 1914. Nigeria divers in Religion, Custom, Language and Aspiration. We are being misguided to remain after the 100 years stipulation has ended in 2014.
Recent happening in current Nigeria should be averted from an impending danger of civil war. I live in a country that regards us as a third class citizen who hails from a 3rd world country. Nigerian in diaspora want to unite with families and loved once but are scared to do so, the threat of Boko Haram and the incessant killings, the agitation of Ipob and Oduduwa Republic, Police brutality, etc. No one is held accountable for all this atrocities melted out to it citizen. if the international communities does not get involved, it is impossible to avert the civil danger that is looming. UK peacefully voted for a chance to leave the European Union and the choice of the masses was heard.it is time to summon the UK government who oversaw the signing of the document to act accordingly.
- We want peaceful Resolution
- we want to build our future
- We want to rekindle the lost host
the only availabale option dor my fellow southeerner is to migrate. UNITED KINGDON if you dont want influx of immigrant in your country, please release us from the impending bondage. I implore HUman Right Organisations and the United Nations to request th UK government to do the needful.
