End All SeaWorld Operations to Stop Killer Whale Abuse

The Issue

I am deeply moved by the plight of killer whales, or orcas, in captivity at SeaWorld parks. These magnificent creatures are meant to swim freely in the vast oceans, not be confined to small tanks for entertainment purposes. The harsh reality is that many orcas suffer and die under SeaWorld's care and seaworld neglects the orcas and the other orcas even rake other orcas because they don’t get along and they even get cuts or slices.

According to a report by Whale and Dolphin Conservation (WDC), 41 orcas have died prematurely at SeaWorld parks since 1971 due to causes such as pneumonia, severe trauma, intestinal gangrene and other health issues that can be attributed directly to their living conditions. This is a clear indication that these facilities are not suitable environments for these animals.

In the wild, killer whales can travel up to 100 miles per day and dive as deep as 200 meters. In contrast, the tanks at SeaWorld are only about 50 feet deep which severely limits their natural behavior patterns.

The hashtag movements #savetilli and #letorcasfree echo public sentiment against this cruel practice of keeping orcas in captivity for profit.

It's time we take action against this injustice. We must demand an end to all operations at SeaWorld involving killer whales. Let us stand together for those who cannot speak for themselves - let us free these majestic creatures from their concrete prisons.

Please sign this petition today because if they keep doing this we won’t have any of these magical creatures anymore; we are there voice so let’s free those orcas! Together we can make a difference!
