A24 has recently begun a partnership with Google with a $75 million deal towards the development of AI-powered filmmaking tools. As enthusiasts and advocates of artistic cinema, we are deeply concerned about this partnership's potential implications for the future of film and storytelling.

Artificial Intelligence--even when used for things like storyboarding--will undermine the employment of human artists and contribute to the continued growth of data centers. 

A24 has built its brand on prestige and customer loyalty and goodwill. Supporting the growth of AI in filmmaking is an extremely unwise move, as those who currently support and love A24s movies are largely opposed to this use of AI. This petition serves as a signal to A24 about the bad will such a decision will create.
