Shut Down Encyclopædia Dramatica For Good

The Issue

We all know someone who has been a victim of cyberstalking and cyberbullying, both of which are malicious against internet users, just as bullying and stalking offline are acts with malicious intent.

Cyberstalking is a technologically-based "attack" on one person who has been targeted specifically for that attack for reasons of anger, revenge or control. Cyberstalking can take many forms, including:

1. harassment, embarrassment and humiliation of the victim
2. emptying bank accounts or other economic control such as ruining the victim's credit score
3. harassing family, friends and employers to isolate the victim
4. scare tactics to instill fear and more - Cited from the Wikipedia page on Cyberstalking

We who stand with Anons For Civil Justice intend to pick apart websites such as Encyclopædia Dramatica, one by one, for their content which is known to cause problems for online users. Encyclopædia Dramatica, and other websites of the like, claim to be satire websites, and only that. However, many of us may know someone that has had the horrifying misfortune of ending up on a website such as that, and how it has affected their personal and professional lives, both online and offline.

Such information which has been made public about individuals has been used as a source of information for people who seek to do harm, threaten, embarrass, harass, or in other words, stalk and bully individuals via social media platforms over the internet. These people that have been abused due to websites such as these are still out there, still facing problems in their day to day lives, and are unable to feel safe, online or not.

Help stand with these individuals by helping us eliminate these sites, one by one.

We are Anons For Civil Justice, and we will not back down. United as one, divided by zero.
