Today, at 11:45am, RAAG will join Environmental Rights Centre for Scotland and Save Our Shore Leith for a photo stunt and talk at The Pitt in Granton, Edinburgh. Come along to learn about the 'Clean Up Scotland's Sewage' campaign!

Please also sign up to the petition here to put sewage pollution up the political agenda! https://www.ercs.scot/clean-up-scotlands-sewage/petition/

Five years on from the formation of RAAG following significant community concern regarding the impact of overflows and general discharges into our river, the River Almond has responded to Scottish Water's latest blog. The latest corporate communication from our publicly owned water utility again downplays the impact of overflows and general discharges into watercourses. RAAG is calling for genuine environmental stewardship through acknowledgement that the current levels of river pollution are unacceptable. I AM THE RIVER ALMOND

I am the River Almond. We were partners once. But quietly, it changed.

This isn’t working, I am not an extension of your pipes.

Please stop the soft-spoken denials. Let us be partners, not of convenience, but in stewardship...

For cleaner and healthier rivers,

Your River Almond
