WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT to #StoptheSewage, #CleanourRiver and #SavetheSalmon �️��

We are in the process of setting up an initial meeting this week on Thursday evening 25th March at 7pm to update the local community.

To progress as an unincorporated group, we need a hand to fill the following positions (free to join) - all applicants are welcome:

Chair - Lee Haywood: increasing public awareness of sewage overflows into the River Almond and its negative impact on water quality, including its major contribution to the River Almond suffering from "poor water quality" - Water Framework Directive. Holding Scottish Water and SEPA to account while raising the issues with local representatives.

Secretary - monitoring and keeping track of incoming emails. Archiving emails for our record, including the general public's reports of pollution incidents.

Events Campaign Coordinator - helping to liaise with the local community and setting up events to support the aims of RAAG.

Treasurer - to record incoming and outgoing funds on a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, which can be provided and support the aims of the RAAG.

Communications Lead - to continue to raise awareness of primarily the recurrent sewage issues, amongst others, affecting the River Almond.

Communications Lead Support (18-24 only - focus will be on West Lothian initially) - for a local young person who is passionate in striving for positive change for our natural environment - to support the Communications Lead.

Committee Members - willing to support the aims of RAAG and attend events and meeting where possible. No strict committment is required however active participation is encouraged when possible.
