Its themes of mercy, forgiveness, and perseverance seem even more relevant today as we grapple with increasing societal division, anger, and apathy. This game, with its deep storytelling and unique characters, has become a beacon of hope for many, lifting us when we felt like there was no other way out. I personally can attest to the lasting impact Undertale has had and continues to have on many lives, because it gave me hope during a time in my life where I was almost about to give up on it.

But can you imagine if we could expand the reach of Undertale's inspiring message to a wider audience through an entirely different medium? Jorge Rivera-Herrans, a skilled and celebrated playwright known for his ability to craft meaningful narratives through the medium of music, such as at the time of writing his biggest success EPIC: The Musical, is the perfect person to collaborate with Toby Fox on creating an official Undertale musical. 

A musical adaptation of Undertale has the potential to become a cultural phenomenon, resonating with audiences beyond the gaming community. It has already been shown to be possible thanks to content creator Man on the Internet making an unofficial full-length one on YouTube that garnered over 5 million views.  With Toby's brilliant storytelling and character development, combined with Jorge's talent for translating narratives into stage performances, we believe this could be a worthwhile project that brings joy and comfort to even more people across the globe, just as the original game did.

We couldn't imagine a better team to work on an adaptation of Undertale into a musical, keeping the themes, story, and uniqueness of Undertale alive and well on stage and spreading them to another.
