Recently we have all seen the impact of Israel's deeply unjust, anti-semitic, and ethno-supremacist policies, namely the genocidal ethnic cleansing and unlawful persecution and detention of Palestinians. It is deeply troubling that the symbol of such troubling policies, the Israeli flag, is on public display at the Maine Jewish Museum.

Considering Israel's unfortunate track record in the recent years, including the appalling acts of genocide and ethnic cleansing in the Levant, where it illegally occupies Palestinian and Syrian land, it is discouraging to see a cultural organization in our community endorse these actions. 

The United Nations has registered several resolutions against Israel, confirming allegations of human rights abuses, war crimes, and occupation (UN Resolution 242, 338, and 465). Israel's policies sadly misrepresent the Jewish values of peace, justice, and fairness.

Additionally, the current administration has sided with Israel over our own government by detaining and deporting legal residents for practicing protected speech. These policies are direct renumeration for lavish spending by AIPAIC and Miriam Adelson to the Trump campaign and members of Congress.

Therefore, this petition seeks respect for non-Zionist Jews and all who value our US Constitution by urging the Maine Jewish Museum to reconsider its display of the Israeli flag.

We request them to remove it from public view, symbolizing their stand against any form of suppression, inequality, or injustice. By doing so, the museum would contribute significantly to promoting peace, respect, and fairness in our community. We kindly urge everyone who shares in these noble values to sign this petition and jointly stand for justice and freedom.
