I am a proud member of the vibrant Lillington community. Unfortunately, we are not known for our hidden treasures of local stores and businesses.  Food trucks can offer a variety of quality cuisines, keep local dollars within Lillington boundaries, and have the bonus effect of attracting visitors from other communities.

Lamentably, under the current restrictions, food trucks here are allowed to operate only two days a week within town limits. This not only limits the options for residents and visitors but also restricts the ability for local businesses and shop owners like myself to boost the local economy by bringing in more foot traffic.

It has become increasingly clear that if this restriction were to be lifted, more people would have the opportunity to savor the diverse culinary experiences that our food trucks offer. An easing of this restriction would lead to increased footfall in our lovely town, promoting other businesses too.

We, therefore, urge the town authorities of Lillington to consider modifying the current restrictions on food trucks. Let's allow them to operate beyond the present limited two days a week schedule. Let's keep this fantastic source of community pride and local economic support thriving in Lillington.
