Encourage Dan and Phil to Add Another Glasgow Tour Date with BSL Interpreters

The Issue

I am an avid fan of Dan and Phil, who rely heavily on British Sign Language (BSL) to fully enjoy their performances as a deaf individual. Unfortunately, their upcoming show in Glasgow announced that they will only host one show date, which makes it impossible for BSL interpreters to be present.

The lack of BSL interpreters for this one-date event doesn't reflect Dan and Phil's commitment to inclusivity. It's a well-known fact that they have met numerous deaf fans during their career and understand the importance of inclusivity in their performances. However, this recent scheduling seems to overlook the needs of deaf fans, like me, leaving us feeling left out.

When venues schedule multiple show dates, they can accommodate BSL interpreters, making the events accessible to the deaf community. Knowing that Dan and Phil prioritise inclusiveness in their work, it's essential that they consider adding another Glasgow Tour Date to ensure all fans can enjoy their performance.

In the UK, there are approximately 151,000 BSL users, 87,000 of whom are deaf (Source: British Deaf Association). It's crucial to make performances accessible to all fans, including disabled fans.

The goal of this petition is to implore Dan and Phil to add another Glasgow tour date with BSL interpreters available. This will not only benefit deaf fans but also signify their genuine commitment to inclusivity. Please sign this petition to support better access to performances for all Dan and Phil fans.
