My fellow Americans for too many decades our Congressional representatives have retained their offices only to amass power, influence and fortunes at our expense. All the while doing what their major donors bidding is as opposed to what is good for the American people. Their sole focus is on retaining their office to the exclusion of everything else to allow the money and power train to continue.

They themselves voted to limit the number of terms a sitting President can hold office to 2 terms. The reasoning for this was being in office for longer than that allowed that person to amass too much power and influence and was a danger to democracy. Yet they feel that logic doesn't apply to themselves. 

We need term limits on all members of Congress effective immediately. I propose the same limits they themselves imposed upon the office of the President. 2 terms after which they are no longer eligible to hold that office again.

Without term limits we will continue to get what we get now. A government that is more concerned with the special interests that fund their campaigns than they are about us.
