We, the undersigned, are content creators, viewers, and supporters of digital media in Zambia. We are writing to request that YouTube enable monetization for Zambian content creators. 

YouTube has become a vital platform for creativity, education, and entrepreneurship around the world. However, Zambian creators are currently unable to fully benefit from their work due to the absence of monetization options in our country. This limitation hampers the growth and potential of our digital economy and stifles the creative talents of many Zambians who aspire to share their content with the world and earn a living from it.

Monetization on YouTube is not just a source of income; it is a means to foster innovation, promote diverse voices, and support the development of digital skills. By enabling monetization in Zambia, YouTube would be:

1. **Empowering Local Creators**: Allowing Zambian creators to earn from their content would provide them with the financial means to improve their work, invest in better equipment, and produce higher-quality videos that can compete on a global stage.

2. **Boosting the Economy**: Monetization can create new job opportunities and contribute to the economic growth of Zambia. It can encourage the emergence of a digital economy where individuals can thrive through online content creation.

3. **Promoting Diverse Voices**: Zambian culture, stories, and perspectives are unique and deserve to be shared with the global community. Monetization would enable more creators to share their content consistently and sustainably.

4. **Enhancing Digital Literacy**: As more Zambians engage with YouTube monetization, there would be a ripple effect of increased digital literacy, as creators and audiences alike become more adept with technology and online platforms.

We believe that enabling YouTube monetization in Zambia is a crucial step towards a more inclusive and equitable digital landscape. We urge YouTube and Google LLC to take immediate action to include Zambia in the list of countries eligible for YouTube monetization.
