I hope you’re all doing well. I am writing to follow up on an important matter regarding Ellie’s care. We are still awaiting written confirmation that Ellie can be tube-fed by her care team through direct payments. Unfortunately, the trust has yet again not provided this and has claimed that they can not change the direct payment documentation. This implies that, legally, they either do not care or believe that allowing us to proceed is still against the law.

Despite this, they have trained all my staff and signed off on their training. We need to continue our campaign to have this situation amended. The trust's supposed transparency is questionable, as there has been no clear reason provided for stopping this process for over 18 months. There is no reason why they wouldn’t do this again.

Your prompt attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated. Let’s work together to ensure Ellie and others like her get the care they need and deserve.
