Make it illegal in Missouri to leave dogs in hot cars

The Issue

Although all 50 states have laws against animal cruelty, Missouri has no laws targeting animals left in hot cars. Thousands of pets die each year in hot cars around the world, it only takes 6 minutes in a hot car for a dog to die of a heat stroke. Missouri is one of many states in the U.S. that have no laws about animals left in hot cars.
