I-READY, an online program used by many schools in King, North Carolina, has been identified as ineffective and a waste of time by numerous students and parents. Despite its promise to provide personalized learning experiences for students, many argue that it does not contribute significantly to their academic growth. In fact, according to a study conducted by the American Institutes for Research (AIR), there is little evidence that adaptive learning systems like I-READY substantially improve student outcomes. We believe our children's time could be better spent on more effective educational tools or methods. Therefore, we urge the school board of King, North Carolina to reconsider its use of I-READY in our schools.
