Due to the significant and consistent increase in parking fees, I can no longer afford them. With the ongoing inflation, many of us are struggling to make ends meet. These rising costs are adding an unnecessary financial burden on individuals and families across Alberta.

Parking fees have increased by an average of 10% annually over the past five years (source: Alberta Transportation Report 2022). This is unsustainable for many residents who rely on parking facilities for work, school, and daily activities.

We urge the government to either eliminate these exorbitant parking fees or allow them to be deducted from our income tax. This adjustment would provide much-needed relief during these challenging economic times.
