Eliminate Imagine Math and Typing.com from Idea Round Rock Tech's Curriculum

The Issue

I am a student at Idea Round Rock Tech, and today I am speaking out on behalf of my fellow students who share my sentiment. Every other day, our education is mired in the relentless, and, in my view, inefficient use of Imagine Math and Typing.com. Our experiences with these platforms have repeatedly shown us that they do not contribute significantly to our learning growth.

These programs, although deemed beneficial by some, appear to be far more a hindrance than a help to us. Studies have shown that not all e-learning platforms are necessarily effective for all learners, and this seems to be the case with Imagine Math and Typing.com (Source: Journal of Applied School Psychology, 2021). Furthermore, our precious learning time could be better utilized engaging in curricula that forge stronger critical thinking, creativity, and real-world problem-solving skills.

Thus, we are calling on the decision-makers at Idea Round Rock Tech to reconsider the inclusion of Imagine Math and Typing.com in our curriculum. We request an evaluation of these programs to confirm if they indeed meet the pedagogical goals of our institution and contribute to our academic growth. Please sign this petition and support us in advocating for an effective and meaningful curriculum. Together, we have the power to shape our learning environment for the better.
