Eliminate Banking Restrictions on Consumer Money Transfers

Eliminate Banking Restrictions on Consumer Money Transfers
The issue
After struggling with personal transactions and payments over $5000, I've come to the stark realization of the limits our banking institutions place on the movement of our own money. As such, I am advocating for the removal of these restrictions impacting countless individuals like me. According to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, in 2019, there were over 1,000 complaints related to electronic fund transfer issues affecting amount limits – a clear sign of the problem's magnitude. The current regulations are severely restrictive to people who need to transfer large amounts, for business, property purchases or emergencies. This limitation, although deemed to protect consumers from fraud, instead restricts consumers' own control over their personal funds. We are adults and we should have the freedom to use, move, and manage our money as we see fit. Stand with me – urge financial institutions to reconsider these unnecessary limits and protect consumer freedom. Sign the petition!
