Eliminate All Sago Palms in Pace, FL for Pet Safety

The Issue

This petition comes from a place of personal pain and loss. My beloved dog recently passed away after ingesting a seed from a Sago Palm. These plants, while seemingly harmless, are highly toxic to animals if consumed. According to the Pet Poison Helpline, all parts of the Sago Palm are poisonous, but the seeds are the most toxic. Ingestion can result in severe symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea and seizures; it can even lead to liver failure (source: Pet Poison Helpline).

Pace is our home - a place where we should feel safe and secure for ourselves and our pets. However, with these dangerous plants around us, that safety is compromised. It's time we take action.

We call upon local authorities in Pace, FL to implement measures for the removal of all Sago Palms within city limits. By doing so we can prevent further tragedies like mine from happening again - no pet owner should have to experience this kind of loss due to an avoidable hazard.

Please sign this petition today and help make Pace safer for our pets by eliminating all Sago Palms from our community.
