For years, I've been living in a state of constant irk, courtesy of insects that invade my personal space and peace daily. These tiny creatures, due to their inconspicuous nature, have turned my life into a nightmare. However, my personal story is sadly, not unique. The World Health Organization estimates that mosquitoes, in particular, cause more than 400,000 deaths annually.

Our environment has millions of such harmful insects that plague countless lives around the world. Some of these pose severe threats to crops, some are notorious for spreading harmful and often deadly diseases, and yet others have been found responsible for significant economic loss in various sectors.

While elimination of all insects might disrupt the food chain and negatively impact the ecosystem, targeted control of harmful insects can reduce pest-borne diseases and agricultural losses. Hence, this petition seeks to push research organizations, environmental bodies, and the government to implement effective strategies that target only the harmful insects, thus improving the quality of life for countless individuals around the world like me.
