I wanted to update you on the incredible response I’ve had since I started my #NotOKCupid petition yesterday. Some people think it’s fine for OK Cupid to ask offensive and discriminatory questions, if it helps them find a better date. That’s what OK Cupid themselves said yesterday in a statement. But this totally misses the point. Attitudes to people with a learning disability have improved a lot during the course of my life, but we still have a long way to go. I think it’s so dangerous to suggest that people with a learning disability should not have families. You can read more about this below in my Guardian article, published this afternoon. I want OK Cupid to remove the question and acknowledge how offensive it is, so keep spreading the word this weekend. Thank you Ciara
