Since it was launched over 18 years ago, The Sims has become probably the most popular life simulation game on the market, and has spawned a long series of games and expansion packs. There are probably as many reasons to play The Sims as there are people who play it, but I play it to be able to live my secret, impossible to fulfill dreams, like being a rich artist living on a house boat. Or a crazy cat lady with five cats. Or a competent doctor who saves lives. The Sims allows me to live these dreams though my sims. But there is one dream, my biggest dream in fact, that I can not fulfill through playing The Sims. Something is missing: enter The Sims 4 Goats, the first expansion pack to involve goats.

Last autumn, EA launched The Sims 4 Pets, and expansion pack which gave the players the option of owning either cats or dogs in the game. Cats and dogs, probably due their status as very popular pets in real life, have been the main feature of the animal oriented expansion packs for The Sims since the first game, with The Sims 3 including horses as well alongside cats and dogs. But what about those of us who wish to own other animals? I think that cats and dogs are great, but my dream is owning a goat, and I think that goats would make an great addition to The Sims 4. 

Goats have a lot of things going for them. They are smart, and highly trainable, like dogs. They are also useful, producing milk which can be sold for profit. Goats in the Sims could be held both as more of a hobby for your Sims, or be made into a fulltime career as a goat breeder and milk farmer. Also, goat babies are adorable. And goats would be a suiting pet for sims who are vegetarians, as goats naturally eat a diet consisting of leaves and grass, unlike cats and dogs. 

Goats in games are also insanely popular, just look at goat simulator. Goat remixes was the hottest thing for a couple of weeks in like 2013 or something. People love goats, it would be a great financial success. 

(Also, not putting llamas in the kinda South America-inspired pack was a mistake, like seriously llamas has been The Sims' thing since like forever. Maybe this could be a combined stuff pack with both goats and llamas. But the goats are the most important.)

We, the people who play The Sims, deserve better. We deserve the best expansion pack ever. We deserve goats.
