Bring BLACK (2006) [PS2/Xbox] to PC

The Issue

On February 28th of 2006, BLACK was released on the two major consoles at the time. The Playstation 2 and the Xbox. This game was and still is one of my favorite FPS games of all time. The graphics were amazing at the time, and the weapons alone steal the show. The weapon models have an exceptionally high level of detail even still today. The game itself was very fun, awesome, and simple. It had a great soundtrack and some of the best sound effects in any game at the time. A game like this still lives on today, and still has a dedicated fan base who still love the game and continue to play it.

However, as times change people move on to other systems. Take me for example, I pretty much exclusively play on PC now. Remembering a game like BLACK makes me think that it would be amazing to be able to experience such a great game on newer systems with more enhanced features (such as 1080p and 60 FPS) while keeping the original game intact. Bringing a classic shooter like BLACK to PC would be a great way to restore the game, bring it up to current standards, and offer a chance to make more profits off an older product. Many other game developers are doing this now by making remastered versions of older games. A current example is DEAD RISING coming to PC this very month!

Currently the only way to even try to play BLACK on PC is with the use of a PS2 emulator. It can never be the same as playing it on PC as an actual port or game designed to be on it.

I want EA Games and/or Criterion Games to port BLACK to PC themselves or license a remake or port of BLACK to PC to a developer who would take interest. I can't begin to express how awesome this would be. As I've said, this is one of my favorite games of all time, and it deserves to get the update treatment and brought out again to a whole new audience and to a newer and better playing environment.
