Hello all, I hope this update finds everybody well and your bikes are tuned up and ready for the summer For the last months I have been emailing and talking with Natalie Lolua who is Eleanor Mcmahon MPP 's Constituency Assistant. Unfortunately their answer so far is that Electronic Petitions do not meet requirements to be presented before the legislative assembly. This is their answer so far: From : Natalie Lolua Constituency Assistant "This petition could not be presented before the legislative assembly because it does not meet the following requirements: Petitioners must be residents of the Province of Ontario; it is acceptable for petitioners to be under the age of majority. A petition must contain ORIGINAL signatures only, WRITTEN DIRECTLY ON THE FACE OF THE PETITION. Each person petitioning the Legislative Assembly must PRINT his or her name and address and sign his or her name under the text of the petition. Until the petition meets those requirements, MPP McMahon cannot present it. " This was my answer back: "Hello Natalie, thanks for your quick response The undersigned people on this petition are from all over Ontario, to expect original signatures and printed names is a bit inadequate for now a days, specially when we have electronic communications Is there any exception or alternate option that I can use to present this petition? Respectfully" Then I waited a couple a weeks and a response never came back, therefore I emailed again and called their office; this time I talked to Natalie Lolua once again, and she re explained to me that the petition must meet requirements otherwise it will not be presented. Dear friends The only option we have here to jump over this obstacle is to do as follows: 1: I will prepare the petition in the format they suggested 2: I will upload it or provide a link to it 3: I will kindly ask that if you support this petition and live in the province of Ontario please do the following: a: Print the petition b: Hand write your full name, full address and sign the petition c: finally mail your petition to an address I will later provide 4: Then I will collect and organize the petitions using binders 5: Finally I will personally bring the binders/petitions to their office If anybody knows a faster, easier way to present this petition please let me know I will soon provide the Petition file and the address Have a nice weekend !
