Dear Fellow Students

We have a PROBLEM. Aparently the Department has persuaded UNISA to make a decision to make semester modules to become year modules. This means as students we will be at least negatively affected in these following ways: 

1.Graduations will be delayed.

2. We will have to pay MORE fees than usual(Non funded stidents in this manner)

3. The waiting period to write an exam will be much longer than necessary. And this means we will have to constantly re-visiting our modules content. Students emotional well being not considered in this manner.

4. We will have to write 10 modules in one exam period. This poses more problem for many students as we often face internet problems during exam submitions.

We embarked(as Unisa Student and the institution) on online exams primarily to save livelyhoods from Covid-19 from the begining and now we(students) dont understand what could be a valid reason for this huge change in Modules timeline, because there is no way it could be because of Fearing Covid-19 infections hense there are no vanue based exams happening.

We urge the Department of Higher education along side with UNISA to kindly recinsider thier decision and perhaps replace it with more reasonable and well considered one taken all the important factors & people at stake.
