On Monday October 26,2015 A 300 Lbs Police officer Ben Fields brutally attacked a 16 year old student by violently throwing her to the ground and dragging her body through the classroom. Witnesses also advised that he chocked her prior to slamming her body to the ground. As a devout child abuse advocate  I am requesting that Charges be filed in accordance to South Carolina Code: 63-7-20 which is the law mandating what the definition of Child abuse or neglect is  when the parent, guardian, or other person responsible for the child’s welfare:

·        Inflicts or allows to be inflicted upon the child physical or mental injury or engages in acts or omissions which present a substantial risk of physical or mental injury to the child, including injuries sustained as a result of excessive corporal punishment, but excluding corporal punishment or physical discipline which:

a.    Is administered by a parent or person in loco parentis

b.    Is reasonable in manner and moderate in degree

c.    Has not brought about permanent or lasting damage to the child

d.    Is not reckless or grossly negligent behavior by the parents

Please sign the petition and request that officer Ben Fields be arrested in accordance to the law. Being fired IS NOT ENOUGH.  We have to speak up and protect our children !
