Hi there. Recently in school, we have been “educated” about black history. When I say “educated” I mean year after year for 1 month we have learnt about Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King , over and over again. While both made historical and significant changes to the way we live today, I still wonder.. what about the others? What about all the other incredible black historical figures? We learn white history all year, but we only learn black history one month a year. Did you know that 86.2% of people in the UK have learnt about the Tudors, but only 7.6% have learnt about the British colonisation of Africa. It is important to let you know, we are two teenage white British girls who want to know more. But we are the future and we are the ones to help end all the injustice and lack of equality.
