In Pakistan the second wave of Covid 19 has swept over the country with daily reported cases rising in 1000's and that is only the reported cases. Most people have stopped getting tested and believe the whole pandemic is a hoax, this is common among the lower working class who make up the majority of the country. A decision is to be taken by the education minister of Pakistan (Shafqat Mehmood) and the Education board on whether schools across the country are to be closed for early Winter break as the cases are rising and students safety must be first priority. 

However, it seems as if the Minister of Education himself is against the closure of schools even amidst this deadly wave saying "much damage was caused due to the last lockdown". Not only are most cases of the virus not being reported but those which are, are in 1000's. The Education minister should have the safety and wellbeing of the students as the first and foremost priority. For the safety of students, schools must be closed.
