It is crucial that we have our children attend school. Education is a big part of a child’s life and online learning is not impacting children in a positive manor. Being isolated at home for several hours a day in front of computers is not healthy for anybody. This seriously affects their mental health. Because of this, depression and suicide rates have gone up. 

Children/young teens are naturally curious and are driven by a sense of adventure and growth. Without a physical environment for education, students are not left with that sense of drive. Everything being online makes learning feel subpar and many students don’t have proper/very good equipment for online learning. Online learning leaves many students at a disadvantage both physically and mentally. Everything being online also makes academic honesty very hard to maintain. Students are almost encouraged to cheat because of shorter class hours and the amount of work given. 

Society is constantly evolving at a very rapid rate and several important skills are taught at school. One of those skills are social skills. Everyone can agree that in this day and age collaborative skills are essential. Schools gave students the opportunity to talk and meet lots of new and different people. Online learning doesn’t give students this opportunity anymore. If the young learn to distance themselves from others and are not able to interact with individuals effectively and appropriately, then we are destined to have a future with less voices.
