The Edmonton Public School Board, has taken it upon themselves to make the decision to mandate the wearing of masks of all children in the EPS system. This has been done without the recommendation from Dr. Deena Hinshaw or without any council from the parents whose children this will affect.

Mandating masks is dangerous for children’s physical and mental wellness. They are moist and dirty while harbouring bacteria next to their mouths for our children to breathe in all day long. They prevent children from thriving in their school setting, causing anxiety and depression. The decision to mask a child should be up to the parent. They know their child best.
