Petition updateSave Edmonds Beach!Save Edmonds Beach – ACTION TIME: Media, Signs, and Meeting
Edmonds BeachEdmonds, WA, United States
Jun 14, 2019

Over 6,200 people have signed the petition and it’s working! Pressure to save the beach is bringing attention to the issue!

Media is learning about the issue through efforts of many of our 6,000 petition signers and Facebookers – Today had interviews with Q13, KNKX, and the Edmonds Beacon. Look for Q13 report tonight, KNKX on the radio on Monday, and Edmonds Beacon soon online and in the paper next week. Another interview lined up for Tuesday.

Meeting – WE NEED YOU THERE at the Edmonds City Council. This past week the Mayor attended the committee meeting and stood by watching. The room was almost empty and it felt like their was pressure for status quo and the concrete overpass on the beach. We need to flip the dynamic – we need to make this “homecourt” advantage for the council member(s) who are on the fence about the decision. Insiders are saying the vote to approve the next phase of design funding for $2.3 million is close and could go either way. They need YOUR support in the room to make a courageous choice to break with the status quo of the current city administration. Anyone can speak during public comment time and you are encouraged to do so. You have 3 minutes, kids can speak and you don’t need to be an Edmonds resident to talk. RSVP if you can to our Facebook Event so we can get a sense for how many people are coming  https://www.facebook.com/events/1302373733252047/

YOU can now print your own info flyers and posters or create your own DIY using the downloadable files and photos on the newly updated website. www.SaveEdmondsBeach.com

Please review the two charts on the front page of the new website so you are confident about the options – the “mid-block” option by the train station is the least expensive and the highest rated (not necessarily recommending it, but it disproves the Connector argument that there is the best and only way to solve the safety issue… it’s not according to city studies).

Let’s Save the Beach Together! We can do it on Tuesday night! See you there!
