The concept design for a new 1000-space car park at the busy station has been released.
"A pop-up information stall will be hosted by Transport for NSW at Leppington Station on Thursday, March 12 and Tuesday, March 17 between 4.30pm and 6:30pm to allow the community to give feedback and ask questions,"
In December 2019 the Camden Mayor was quoted as saying that "The Camden area is the fastest growing local government area in the country, where we are welcoming more than 100 new residents every week,"
The question is will the commuter chaos at Leppington Station be eased with the state government committing to the creation of 1000 new car spaces?
In my opinion, the additional 1000 spaces hardly cater for the existing Commuter overflow at Leppington Station. With 5000 new residents moving into the Camden area each year this does not allow for the future planning at all.
We NEED to have the South West Rail Link Extended to the New Airport to have a to a total of 5 stations from Edmondson Park To Badgerys Creek Airport with 2,000 car spaces at each Station to allow for future growth.
Speaking of Edmondson Park Station it seems to have been forgotten about by the State Government. Could that be because it is situated in a the Labor Party Electorate of Macquarie Fields while Leppington is in the Liberal Party Electorate of Camden and the NSW State Government are playing favourites?
We are still waiting on answers to questions posed last December and also in February 2020.
And where is Melanie Gibbons MP for Holsworthy? Melanie Gibbons MP who is always quick to grab a photo opportunity with the Premier or take to credit for announcements that are made regarding Edmondson Park Station (which is not part of her electorate) however she appears to go missing in action when the work needs to be done.
Congratulations and Well Done to Annoulach Chanthivong MP for Macquarie Fields for his Speech in Parliament made on the 3rd March 2020 however I have a feeling that based on the number of politicians in the Chamber his requests are falling on Deaf ears. – View it using the Link Below

The Hardcopy Paper petition is still going and we are up to 1800 signatures at present with Signature sheets now being placed in various businesses around the area. (I will provide a list in the next update).

Security is becoming a problem at the Stations with Bicycles being stolen from the Bike Racks, Cars being broken into on the side streets outside of the Carparks and Statues of Dogs being stolen.
